COUNTY OF HAW ~ a~TATE OF HAWAII ~xu ~ N~~.: RESOLUTION NO. ~:4 01 RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING THE UNENCUMBERED BALANCES OF THE OFFICE OF THE SAFETY COORDINATOR TO THE DEPARTMENT OF CIVIL SERVICE WHEREAS, an amendment to the Hawaii County Charter to eliminate the Safety Coordinator position was approved by a majority of the voters of the County of Hawaii on November 7, 2000; and WHEREAS, the staff of the Office of the Safety Coordinator, as well as the responsibility of the employee safety and worker's compensation would be transferred to the Director Personnel Services; and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has established sepazate accounts for the appropriation and expenditures of the safety and worker's compensation in the Depamnent of Civil Service. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, that the unencumbered balances of the Office of the Safety Coordinator be transferred and appropriated to the Department of Civil Service. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii shall transmit copies of this resolution to the Civil Service and Finance, and that the Director of Finance be and is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with this resolution.
