COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION N0. ~3 O1 <br /> A RESOLUTION AMENDING SALARY ORDINANCE NO. 00-65 BY ADDING A NEW <br /> <br /> SECTION 7.09 DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT, DELETING SECTION <br /> 7.07 OFFICE OF THE SAFETY COORDINATOR, RENAMING SECTION 7.02 OFFICE OF THE <br /> <br /> MAYOR TO OFFICE OF MANAGEMENT, AND RETITLING THE CHIEF ENGINEER CLASS OF <br /> WORK TO DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS. <br /> WHEREAS, Section 3-13, Hawau County Charter, provides for interim <br /> <br /> amendments to the Salary Ordinance to be made by resolution; and <br /> WHEREAS, proposed amendments to the Hawaii County Charter to establish a <br /> Department of Environmental Management, to delete the Office of the Safety <br /> <br /> Coordinator, to rename the Office of the Mayor to the Office of Management, and <br /> <br /> to retitle the Chief Engineer class of work to Director of Public Works were submitted <br /> <br /> to the voters of the County of Hawau on November 7, 2000; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 11-156 Hawau Revised Statutes, the County <br /> <br /> Clerk has certified that the proposed amendments were approved by a majority of <br /> <br /> the voters voting upon said amendments, and <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII <br /> <br /> that Section 7 of Salary Ordinance No. 00-65 be amended as follows: <br /> "SECTION 7.
