In today~s HILO TRIBUNE HERALD - I note article that the ~~County Council
Committees are expected °to recommend whether Bim~s choices to run key
departments should be confirmed when they appear next month before the
full body~~, A picture of Chris 7uen is shown in the article, This
Article further states: "University professors, a doctor, a Former state
senator and a retired minister are some of the 20 people who have written
letters as)<ing the council to confirm Yuen,~~
I~•was born on this Island of Hawaii on March 9, 1920 (before women had
the right to vote). It is alY desire to spend the rest oS ~ life here.
I have held jobs for marLy years that vrere irnolved with attorneys in
California and Hawaii, I was employed at the PEARL HARBOR NAVY YARD
Erom Apri1,19/al through January,1952 and w4s one of the few civilians
who handled SECRET material, I worked with many Officars xho were
attorneys in Civilian life, I was active in Real Estate in Hawaii and
California for many years at which time I had contact with many attorneys.

The purpose of this letter is to inform you that I first mat Chris Yuen
after I returned to Hawaii in 1990, Since aG' first call on him I have
made other contacts involving legal questions, In a simple phone call
he has given me a referal or brief ansti~er, I consider Chris Yuen a friend
and I believe he is the best person for the job,
Please add my name to the other 20 names who have :}ritten letters
