RESOLUTION NO. 17 01
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF
MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR AMULTI-YEAR LEASE FOR A COPY MACHINE.
WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or other obligation
requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal yeaz or more than one fiscal year be
approved by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the presem copier in fire Mayor's Office is over ten years old, and can only accommodate
copying a single sheet at a time through the document Iced attachme~; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter i~o a multi-year lease agreement for five (5) years
for one (1) copier for the Mayor's Office; and
WHEREAS, the acquisition of this machine will increase efficiency and improve the productivity of
the office staff.
NOW, THEREFORE, HE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII
that the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a five (5) year lease agreement for the acquisition of one copy
machine for the Mayor's Off
ce, and that sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the
anticipated obligation of the County under the temrs of the agreement.
