RESOLUTION NO. 9 Q1
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION AND USE OF PRIOR YEAR FUNDS
RESULTING FROM THE CANCELLATION OF A PURCHASE ORDER.
WHEREAS, in the fiscal year ended June 30, 2000 the sum of $7,500.00 was encumbered in account
number 010-500-5523.02-341 from funds duly appropriated in that fiscal yeaz; and
WHEREAS, in the current fiscal yeaz, purchase order number 82455 was canceled due to the inability of
the contractor to provide the item as specified, resulting in the formerly-encumbered funds appearing in the un-
expended allotment balance of the current year's budget status; and
WHEREAS, these funds are still needed for the purpose of the original appropriation;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount that appears in the unencumbered balance of the account below be and is hereby appropriated
as set forth below:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk be and is hereby directed and instructed to
forward a copy of this resolution to the Director of Finance and that the Director of Finance be and is hereby
authorized to allow the expenditure of these funds in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
