My name is Edward Hareda and I wnte in support of the nomination of Dennis Lee as County
Director of Publrc Works
I have known Dennis for over 25 years and am personally familiar with his qualrficaUons having
worked with him dunng my tenure as Chief Engineer for the County under Mayor Herbert
Matayoshi's administration
Dennis' past expenence in the Solid Waste/Wastewater Division wrath the Department of Public
Works, his work as Base Engineer at Pohakuloa and most recamtly Operations Engineer wrath
the Department of Water Supply have provided him with the technical and administrative
knowledge required of the Director's position
Additionally, and perhaps most important, Dennis has shown to have the ability and
temperament to deal with sduatans involving our community As forner head of the
microbiology operations at the Department of Water Supply, Dennis needed to interact wrath the
venous communities island-wide regarding water quality assurances to insure that the health
and welfare of our people were protected
