I have spoken to Mr Tyler and Mr. Safank and both gentlemen have agreed to serve in these capacities Pursuant to the bylaws of HSAC, each Council, pnor to Apnl 15, is required to appoint one of its members to serve as an officer of HSAC for the term beginning July 1 Each Council shall also appoint an alternate Given the present vacancy, I request that the Council take up consideration of Mr. Safank's interest and motivated candidacy to serve in the capacity of alternate HSAC representative at its next meeting To expedite filling of tlvs vacancy, Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations Committee Chair Leningrad Elanonoff has requested that this matter be waived to the full Council for immediate action Thank you for your consideration of this request JYA rf Corimi. Curtis Tyler, III as Hawaii County HSAC Alternative Representative, Recommendation to HSACi Executive Committee that Councilman Tyler be appointed to a vacancy on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Counties (NACo) Pursuant to Section 1(g) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County of Hawaii, this wntten request is submitted with my approval that the above-referenced matter be waived from the Committee on Public Works end Intergovernmental Relations to the full Council for immediate action. In reviewing this matter, lonely approval is crucial. It is therefore advantageous that approval is granted end the matter placed onto the next Council agenda for rernew.
