SUBJECT Appointment of Deputy Director of Civil Defense for Hawaii County
Deaz Chazrman Aralcakl and Members of the County Council
Section 128-3(d) of the Hawal'i Revised Statutes requires that the State Director of Civil
Defense shall, with the approval of the County Council, appoint a Deputy Director of Civil
Defense to be the head of all local organizations for civil defense for the County
MaJor General Edward L Correa, Jr ,State Director of Civil Defense, has tendered the
appointment to me as the Mayor of the County, and I have accepted pending the concurrence
and approval of the County Council
Therefore, I request the approval of the County Council of my appointment as Deputy
Director of Civil Defense for the County of Hawaii
