Council Chambers <br /> TIME 10.35 A M <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication No. 22, reports as follows. <br /> Communication No. 22, transmitted by Mayor Harry Kim, dated December 6, 2000, appoints <br /> Mr William T Takaba as County of Hawaii Director of Finance. <br /> Mr Takaba served as the Director of Finance for the County of Hawaii from December 1990 to <br /> December 1992, and most recently has been the County's Executive on Aging for the Office of <br /> Aging As Director of Finance, he will serve a term to end December 6, 2004. <br /> Pursuant to Article V, Section 5-3 2, Hawaii County Charter, "The director of finance shall be <br /> appointed by the mayor, confirmed by the council and may be removed by the mayor. The <br /> finance director shall have had a minimum of five years of training and experience in budgeting <br /> <br /> or related fields, at least three years of which shall have been in a responsible supervisory <br /> <br /> capacity " <br /> Your Committee on Finance recommends the confirmation of Mr. William T.
