Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 14-O1, reports as follows•
Resolution No. 14-01, transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, via Communication
No 43, dated December 15, 2000, transfers the unencumbered balances of the Office of the
Safety Coordinator to the Department of Civil Service
An amendment to the Hawaii County Charter was approved by a maJority of Big Islands voters
on November 7, 2000, which eliminates the Safety Coordinator position and transfers the
responsibilities of the Safety Coordinator and his/her employees to the Department of Civil
Service
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purposes and intent of Resolution No. 14-01
and recommends its adoption
