On behalf of the 181 members and 153 companies of the Hawaii Island Contractors' Association, we
have pledged our full support for the developments of W. H. Shipman Ltd. We urge you to support the
proposed amendment, as this will cleaz a path for the "Keaau Gateway" project.
The proposed development will not only assist the lagging construction industry in East Hawaii, but will
provide additional revenues for the County of Hawaii in the form of taxes, jobs and increased business
opportunities.
We aze confident that the concerns of increased traffic, due to the project's development, will be
addressed by the developer in earnest.
