COUNTY OF HAWAII ~ STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 43 01 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR TO NEGOTIATE WITH <br /> THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH IN THE STATE OF HAWAII OFFICE FOR <br /> SOCIAL MINISTRI FOR THE SALE OF LOT 22, PLEASANT ACRES <br /> SUBDIVISION <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii purchased lot 22, Pleasant <br /> <br /> Acres subdivision being further described as <br /> TMK: 3/6-9-019: 059, (Lot 22) pursuant to the U. S. Department <br /> of Housing and Urban Development's $1 Home Sales to Local <br /> Governments program for ONE DOLLAR ($1.00) and THREE HUNDRED <br /> THIRTY THREE AND 20/100 DOLLARS ($333.20) closing costs; and <br /> WHEREAS, Chapter 2, Article 19, Section 2-120 (a)(1), <br /> Hawaii County Code, as amended, provides that real property may <br /> be sold through negotiation; and <br /> WHEREAS, Chapter 2, Article 19, Section 2-120 (b), Hawaii <br /> County Code, as amended, provides that a disposition of real <br /> property to non-profit organizations may be made without the <br /> required notice or appraisal; and <br /> WHEREAS, *_he County of Hawaii agrees to dispose of Lot 22 <br /> to the Roman Catholic Church in the State of Hawaii Office for <br /> Social Ministry (RCCHOSM), a duly formed not-for-profit <br /> corporation under IRS Section SOlc(3), for the purpose of <br /> prod ding homeless or other special needs housing; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County proposes to enter into an Agreement <br /> with the RCCHOSM after receiving proper authorization from the <br /> Hawaii County Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Agreement will state that the RCCHOSM will <br /> provide homeless or other special needs housing for at least two <br /> (2) years; and <br /> IOOOhmAo <br /> <br />
