It is my pleasure to submit for your confirmation the appointment of Jane Higa Testa as
County of Hawaii Director of Research and Development pursuant to the Charter of the
County of Hawaii This appointment will be effective on February 16, 2001
Ms Testa has been employed by the Hawaii County Office of Aging from 1980 to the
present Prior to then, she worked for Honolulu Community College, the Kalihi Y M C A ,
and the Hawaiian Regent Hotel Her resume is attached for your information In addition to
her employment with the County, Ms Testa has worked as a facilitator and conducted
strategic planning sessions for numerous community and government organizations
Ms Testa will serve a term co-terminus with my tenure, which will end on
December 6, 2004 Thank you for your favorable consideration of this appointment
