RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE OFFICE OF THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN
AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION, PURSUANT'I'O HRS 46-7,
FOR A HAWAII DARE/DOE GRANT
WHEREAS, the State Department of Education has authorized funding for expenses
to conduct other related projects, and,
WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Police Department is ready and willing tci proceed
with it's obhgauons for the DARE/DOE Grant,
WHEREAS, Hawaii Revised Statutes, Section 46-7, required that county departments
obtain the consent of the Council to enter into agreement with the federal or state
governments respecting action to be taken pursuant to any of the powers granted by law to
furnish, expend and receive and funds or other assistance m connection with projects being
or to be undertaken pursuant to those powers
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of the County of Hawal`I Is authonzed to stgn the above-
referenced agreement and any related documents on behalf of the Office of the Mayor and the County of
Haw•at`I pursuant to the Hawat'i County
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk of the County of Hawat`t shall transmit copses of
thts resolutton to the Finance Department and Police Department
