PURSUANT TO HRS 46-7, FOR A HAWAI`1 DARE•DOE GRANT WHEREAS, the State Department of Education has authonzed funding for expenses to conduct other related projects. and. WHEREAS. the Hawat'i County Police Department is ready and w~llmg to proceed w•rth its obligations for the DARE DOE Grant, l'~'HEREAS, Haw•ai`~ Revised Statutes, Section 46-7, requues that county departments obtain the consent of the Council to enter into agreement wuh the federal or state governments respecting action to be taken pursuant to any of the powers granted by luw• to fum~sh, expend and recene and funds or other assistance m connection with projects being or to be undertaken pursuant to those powers \O~k', THEREFORE. BE I"f RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HA~~'AI`I, that the Oftice of the Mayor is authonzed to enter into an agreement with the Department of Education. State of Hawa~'~. to assist the DARE Program BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of the County of Hawaii is authorized to sign the above-referenced agreement and any related documents on behalf of the Office of the Mayor and the County of Hawaii pursuant to the Hawaii County Charter. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk of the County of Hawaii shall transmit copies of this resolution to the Finance Department and Police Department.
