Re Flood Dtsaster Projects
Enclosed is a resolution transferring $1,500,000 out and from the Provision for
Flooding Disaster 11/00 account and credited to the Transfer to Capital Project
Fund - G account These funds will be used for the County's share of federally
funded flood disaster projects.
Also, enclosed is a bill for an ordinance to amend the Capital Budget by adding
this Flood Disaster Project -County Match account. Funds will be provided from
the aforementioned transfer and from General Obligation Bonds, Capital Projects
Fund -Fund Balance and/or other sources

Flood conditions in November 2000 caused widespread damage to County uifrastmcture, including
roads, bndges, flood channels and datnage to Parks facilities Federal accounts were established by
Ordinances 00-156 and 00-157 Bill 26, cunently before Council adds an additional Federal account for
FEMA protects
This orduiance will establish an account for the County portion of the protects The amount of
$2,000,000 is based on current estunates of the County pomon of flood related protects identified by
Public Works Deparnnent and venous federal agencies
