COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 56 01 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL <br /> YEAR OR OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR AMULTI-YEAR LEASE OF <br /> REAL PROPERTY <br /> WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease, or other <br /> obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one <br /> <br /> fiscal year be approved by resolution, and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii desires to extend the lease of the office space located at <br /> Kealakekua Business Plaza, 81-190 Haleki'i Street, Kealakekua, Hawaii for the Kona Office of the <br /> Prosecuting Attorney, and <br /> WHEREAS, the office space was renovated in 1991 and has been occupied since, and <br /> WHEREAS, the office's location is well established with the public and is in close proximity to <br /> the court, and <br /> WHEREAS, County and Federal funds were spent recently to upgrade the office's WANG <br /> computer system and to install network and video conferencing capabilities, and <br /> WHEREAS, the cost to relocate would be prohibitive, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney will occupy said space of 6432 square feet, <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the County wishes to enter into amulti-year lease with Clark Realty Corporation, <br /> for five (5) years starting July 1, 2001, and ending on June 30, 2006 <br /> <br />
