Appropnatton of FY 2001-02 Funds to Nonprofit Orgamzatrons Pursuant to the transmittal of Communication No. 122 from Finance Dtrector William T. Takaba, dated February 15, 2001, relating to appropnatton of funds to qualtfying nonprofit organizations, I wish to stunntanze the grant review process undertaken by your Human Sernces Nonprofit Grants Review Committee 1. Tlus year, the Finance Departrnent, County of Hawar't received forty-five (45) applications to response to its FY 2001-02 grant solicitation The total amount of funds requested from qualifying organizations is $1,477,841.28, for which the Council has $900,000 available to appropnate One additional application was deemed ineligible due to late submission (see letter dated 2-27-01 from Finance Dtrector William T. Takaba to the Hawar`t Library Fotindatton). 2 As to past years, the Legislative Auditor's Office has prepazed a summary of each application accompamed by the budget tables submitted by the applicant. These matenals, compiled In indexed binders, will be dtstnbuted to all council members no later than March 8, 2001 3.
