AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983
(1995 EDITION), RELATING TO VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1 Chapter 24, amcle 10, division 5, section 24-280, schedule 28 (No pazlung
at anytime), subsection (c) South Htlo, item (132), of the Hawaz`i County Code 1983 (1995
edition), is amended to read as follows
(132) Punahoa Street, makaz side, begmnuig from a point two hundred [nine]
sixty-seven feet Hamakua of Mamo Street to Fumeaux Lane.
SECTION 2. Chapter 24, article 10, division 6, section 24-288, schedule 36 (Freight
loading zones), subsection (c) South Hilo, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (1995 edition), as
amended, is amended to read as follows•
(c) South Hilo
(1) Banyan Dnve, beginning at a point one hundred eighty-two feet
west of the Hilo Hawazian Hotel entry dnveway and extending
forty-four feet in the westerly direction
(2) Fumeaux Lane, makai of Keawe Street, Puna side, twenty-five
feet
(3) Hualalai Street, Puna side, directly in front of the St. Joseph School
Cafetena
(4) Kalakaua Street, Puna side, mauka of nnna*ned pnvate land
between First Hawazian Bank and Hawaz`i Natronal Bank, twenty
feet.
(5) Kamehameha Avenue, mauka side, from a point twenty feet
northwest of Shipman Street and extending fifty feet in the
northwesterly direction
(6) Keawe Street, makai side, Puna of Hach Street, twenty-five feet
(7) Keawe Street, makat side, Pu`u`eo of Mamo Street, twenty-five
feet
(8) Keawe Street, mauka side, beginning at a point fifty-six feet Puna
of Kalakaua Street and extending in the Puna directron for a
distance oftwenty-three feet
(9) Kilauea Avenue, mauka side, beginning at a point fifty feet
southeast of Bazenaba Street and extending flirty feet in the
southeasterly direction
(10) Kilauea Avenue, mauka side, beginning at Hoku Street and
extending forty-four feet in the Puna direction.
(11) Kilauea Avenue, mauka side, beginning at a point five hundred
eighty-seven feet Puna of Hualalai Street and extending forty-four
feet in the Puna direction.
(12) Kilauea Avenue, mauka side, beginning from a point thirty feet
Puna of Mamo Street and extending in the Puna direction for a
distance of thity feet
(13) Kilauea Avenue, mauka side, beginning from a point two hundred
seventh feet Puna side of Mamo Street and extending forty-four
feet in the Puna directron
(14) Kino`ole Street, beginnug 148 39 feet Puna of Hazli Street, fifty
feet
(15) Kino`ole Street, makaz side, beginning from a point twenty feet
Puna of Aala Lane and extending fotty feet in the Puna direction
(16) Kino`ole Street, mauka side, beginning from a point one hundred
twenty-four feet Hamakua of Hatli Street and extending forty-two
feet in the Hamakua directron.
(17) Kukuau Street, Hamakua side, beginning thirty feet mauka of
Kilauea Avenue, forty-five feet
(18) Nawahi Lane, Hamakua side, from a point thirty feet mauka of
Kamehameha Avenue and extending sixty-two feet in the mauka
dvection
(19) Ponahawaz Street, Pu`u`eo side, mauka of Punahoa Street,
thirty-five feet
(20) Punahoa Street, makaz side, beginning from a point one hundred
forty-seven feet Hamakua of Mamo Street and extending
[sixty-two] one hundred twenty feet m the Hamakua direction
(21) Ululam Street, makaz side, from the Hamakua driveway into
McDonald's Restaurant and extending m the Puna direction for a
distance of thirty feet
(22) Wazanuenue Avenue, Puna side, beguuung at a point two hundred
seventy-one feet makai of Keawe Street and extending forty feet
toward Kamehameha Avenue.
(23) Wainaku Street, mauka side, from a point forty-two feet south of
`Amauulu Street and extending forty-four feet in the southerly
direction
SECTION 3. Material to be repealed ~s bracketed. New material is underscored. In
printing flits ordinance, the brackets, bracketed material and underscoring need not be included
SECTION 4 If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof to any person
or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications
of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid pronsion or application, and to
this end, the pronsions of this ordinance aze declared to be severable
SECTION 5 Ttus ordinance shall tak effect upon its approval
