ORDINANCE NO. 01 9
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983
(1995 EDITION), RELATING TO VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 24, amcle 10, division 3, section 24-275, schedule 23 (Bus stop
locations), subsection (f) Kona, of the Hawaz`i County Code 1983 (1995 edition), is amended by
deleting the following item•
[(2) Kealakaa Street, makai side, from a point one hundred eighty-seven feet
south of Kumakam Street and extending in the southerly duectron for a
distance of one hundred fifty feet from 7:30 a m to 8:30 a.m. and from
2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m on school days.]
SECTION 2. Chapter 24, article 10, division 6, section 24-287, schedule 35 (Passenger
loading zones), subsection (f) Kona, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (1995 edition), is
amended by deleting the following item•
[(1) Kealakaa Street, North Kona, on the Kazlua side between Kumukani Street
and the driveway entrance to Kealakehe Elementary School.]
SECTION 3 Chapter 24, amcle 10, division 5, section 24-280, schedule 28 (No parlung
at anytime), subsection (f) Kona, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (1995 edition), is amended
by adding the following to be appropriately numbered and to read as follows
u Kealakaa Street, southwest side, begtnnine at Palam Road and extending
four hundred eight feet in the northwesterly directron
~ Kealakaa Street, northeast side. beguuung at Palam Road and extending
two hundred two feet in the westerly direction.
SECTION 4. Material to be repealed is bracketed. New material is underscored In
punting this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed material and underscoring need not be included.
SECTION 5 If any provision of this ordinance, or the apphcatron thereof to any person
or circumstance, is held invalid, such invahdrty shall not affect other provisions or applications
of the ordinance, which can be given effect without the invalid pmvis~on or applicatron, and to
this end, the provisions of this ordinance aze declazed to be severable
SECTION 6 This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
