RE: Attached Resolution
I am requesting that the attached resolution that endorses the concept of developing a
multi-purpose veterans center be numbered and waived to the next Council agenda.
During the April 1, 1997 Public Works and Parks Committee meeting, Committee members
expressed their support of efforts to facilitate the provision of services to Hawaii County's
veterans through the development of amulti-purpose veterans center. At the Committee's
request, this support has been expressed in the attached resolution.

RE: RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF A
MCJI,TI-PURPOSE VETERANS CENTER
Pursuant to Section 1(e) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County of
Hawaii, this written approval is submitted in regards to the resolution mentioned above, waiving
said referral from the Committee on Public Works and Parks in order that appropriate action can
be taken by the Council.
In reviewing the contents of the referral, it is deemed advisable that such waiver be granted.
