Re Capital Budget
As required by Chapter 8 of the County of Hawaii County Code, authorization is requested
to utilize $56,204 65 from the Park Dedication Fund This allocation will be used to fund the
supplemental planning and design services for the Waimea Trails and Greenways proled
The supplemental services include the planning and design of a donated 8-acre park site
and the surveying and design of an alternate equestrian trail alignment
Enclosed are bills for ordinances to appropriate funds for the Waimea Trails and Greenways
protect in South Kohala

As required by Chapter 8, Hawaii County Code, authorization is requested to utilize
$54,506.02 from the following account, to fund supplemental planning and design services
for the Waimea Trails and Greenways project. The supplemental services include planning
and design of a donated 8-acre park site at the western terminus of the proposed trail and
surveying and design of an aftemate equestrian trail alignment (former Waimea By-pass
Road), linking the State of Hawaii's historical preserve at Lalamilo and Parker Ranch's
equestrian trail system in Waimea.
