Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to submit the nomination of George Martin to
the Hawaii County Hawaii Redevelopment Agency to fill a vacancy
to this recently activated entity.
Mr. Martin is a life-time resident of Hawaii and is presently a
self-employed farmer. Prior to that, he was a real estate
agent for Brilhante Hawaii (1986-1991) and the International
Vice-President of the ILWU (1971-1983). His community
activities include membership to the Kalanianaole School
Foundation, the Saddle Road Task Force and the Hawaii Export
Nursery Association. He is a registered Democrat.
If approved, Mr. Martin will serve a term to end October 16,
2001. Should the Council require further information regarding
this submission, you may call me at your convenience.
