Shipman Gateway Shopping Center
February 22, 2001
I am opposed to the Shipman Gateway Shopping Center proposal
at the Kea'au Bypass.
I would advocate a "smart growth" approach to development
to limit sprawl, develop livable communities and manage
resources wisely.
As far as this specific development proposal goes, why do
we need it now, when there are so many empty buildings in
Kea'au and in Hilo
