It is our responsibility to protect and care for these animals. Abuse and neglect are not acceptable conditions. A Humane Society that does not adhere to humane guidelines is not serving the animals or the community. I fcel strongly that these problems must be addressed. As an individual, and as a member of the business community of the Big Island, I am requesting that you move forward with a review of the policy, procedure and practice of the current Humane Society in Waimea.
