RE: Local Law Enforcement Block Grant
Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating
Budget by appropriating $90,593 for a Local Law
Enforcement Block Grant. This grant from the U. S.
Department of Justice will enable the Police Department to
purchase a digital logging recorder and a playback
recorder which will record all 911 calls and monitor radio
transmissions.
Also enclosed is a resolution authorizing the Mayor to
enter into an Agreement with the United States of America
for this grant.
