Prosecutor's VACA unit.
Please approve .he Frosecutor's request tc continue to fund the
VACA ui:it. Ir my experience, the VACA Unit 3oes a good job of
balanc±r_g tl•:e need for protection of t:~e commun=ty through
vigorcus prosecution with protectior. of child vie*_ims of sexual
abuse from further trauma. The b'ACA unit assures that child
v.=tams and their families are supported and protected through
the ordeal of invest_ga*_ion and trial. This advocacy is good for
;rids and their families. This advocacy maximizes the potential
for convict_on of perpet_ators.
