Dr & Y1rs Earl Bakken of Waimea, Hawart have generously donated five Doppler fetal \9edasonics Monitors [o the Hawat'~ County Fire Department, and \k'HERE•\S, these monitors will be used by both Ftre Stations and Emereencv Medical Ambulance Services throughout the tsland. and \k'HERE•\S these monitors hale a total estimated value of 53.460 20, and WHERE\S. Arttcle XII[. Section 13-L, Havvai'i County Charter provides [hat the Council on behalf of the County may accept gibs or donations of personal property NOW'. THEREFORE BE I7 RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HA\1'AI I that m accordance with Article XIII, Section I ~-12 of the Hav+ai'i Counri• Charter, the Hawai i C'ounty Council accepts these five Doppler Fetal Medasonics titonitors to be u,ed by the Hai+ai"~ County Ftre Department BE IT Fl iRTHER RESOLVED that the Hawaii County Council on behalf of the entire Big Island Community extends its sincerest appreciation to Dr & Mrs Earl Bakken for this generous and beneficial donation BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation be sent to Dr. & Mrs. Earl Bakken and Dr. Gingrich of the North Community Hospital acknowledging the receipt of this donation.
