Rudolph C Hart is a lifelong resident of Hawau He is a former Emergency Medical Technician and Ambulance Service Supervisor He has been very active in community service by serving on boards and commisswns including the Water Commission, Liquor Commisson, and the Emergency Medical Servloea Advisory Commission He has also been very adrve in organ¢ations such as the Boy Scouts of America, the Hawaii Safety Council, the Hamekua Development Council, the Amencan Legion, the Honokaa Catholic Church, and the Hamakua Sensor Citizen Softball Team Mr Hart is a member of the Democratic Party, and will serve a term to expire on December 31, 2005 Council District 2 - Natalie Flattes is a lifelong resident of Hawau She is presently employed by Borthwick Hawau Funeral Home as a Funeral Assistant She is a member of the Hale O Na Alii Hawaiian Civic Club and has been the coordinator for equestrian groups for the Memo Monarch Festival Paretic for the past three years Ms Flaftes is a member of the Democratic Party, and will serve a term to expire on December 31, 2001 Council Dfstriet 3 - Karen T Maedo is a lifelong resident of Hawau She is a recently retired school teacher Her last position was vita-pnncipal for the Hdo Community School for Adults She is presently a board member for Pro)ect Keiki, Inc , and a member of the Business-Education Partnership She has served as president for Alpha Delta Kappa (women's education sorority) and is a very active member of the Hllo Hongwan)1 Mission Mrs Maedo states that she Is not affiliated with any political party, and will serve a term to expire on December 31, 2002 Council District 4 -Louts Kaotw~ is a lifelong resident of Hawau He is a retired corrections officer and a member and past commander of the Disabled Amencan Veterans Chapter 6 He is also a member of the Big Island Veterans Association and currently serves on the Mayor's Veterans Advisory Committee Mr Kaonvi states that he is not affiliated with any political party, and will serve a term to expve on December 31, 2003 Council Dstrict 5 -Neil Brazier is athirty-three year resident of Hawau He is a retired Hawaii Community College professor and is presently employed as a flower fanner He currently Is a rz member of the board of directors for the ARC of Hilo and was a past president and secretary fEr the Puna Lions Club Mr Brazier states that he is not affiliated with any political party, and will d serve a term to expire on December 31.2002 x COUNCIL ACTIOMI DUE BY May 19, 2001 z° r° (LATEST SCHEDULED OUNCIL MTG. -May 16, 2001) ~ The Honorable Chaim~an James Y Arakaki Page 2 Apnl 2, 2001 Counett District 8 -Terry Wallace was bom and educated through high school in Hawau He has Irved m Hawau for a total of 33 years He spent his unrversrty and professional career rn the San Francesco Bay area He served ae an elected Fire Commiasloner for the Novato Fire Disfict and was apponted to the Governor's Task Force for rewsan and update of the Caldomu+ State Fire Code Since robnng and rravrng beck to Hawaii, he was appointed to the Fve Boerd of Appeals by Mayor Akana and has served as Faro Chief of the Kona Village Volunteer Fire Unit Mr Wallace states that he is not affilw~ted wrfh any political party, and will serve a tens to expre on December 31, 2003 Council District 7 - Dale A Fergerstrom is a lifelong resident of Hawau He is a retired police captain and served with the Hawau County Police Department since 1974 Presently, he is employed by the Kamehameha Schools Mr Fergersfrom is also with the Boy Scouts of Amenca Mr Fergerstrom states that he is not affiliated with any pohtx:al party, and will serve a term to expire on December 31, 2005 Counelt Dktrlet 8 - Alexander R Brio is a seven year resident of Hawau Mr Biro has served as a Fire Fighter/Rescue for the town of Faifield, Connecticut for 27 years He is a member of the Kona Palisades Board of Dvectors and serves on the advisory board for the Hawan Island Food Bank He is also the Director for the St Michael's Food Pantry and serves as a pansh counal member Mr Biro is a member of the Republican Party, and will serve a tens to expire on December 31, 2004 Council District 9 -
