Dear Sir:
This letter is a formal request for waiver of the late filing penalty which was paid with the
second installment 2000-2001 real property taxes for the above parcel.
Kohala-Woodvale Associates, LLC purchased this parcel in February, 2000. Apparently,
a change of ownership was not recorded at the time the 2000-2001 real property tax bill
was mailed by the tax collectors office. The tax bill was mailed to Woodvale, LLC in
Kailua-Kona. The tax bill was not forwarded to Kohala-Woodvale Associates, LLC.
Fax copies of the property tax bill reached us late, and our payment was mailed after the
February 20t" deadline. Our check was made payable for $49,479.10, which included a
10% late penalty of $4,498.10.
We respectfully request that this penalty be waived.
