This request is submitted with the approval of the Chairperson of
the Hawaii County Housing Agency (HCHA) that the above-
referenced matter be waived from the Finance Committee to the
full Council for immediate action. The HCHA was informed of this
matter at its meeting on April 18, 2001.
Timely approval is crucial in order to meet the May 11, 2001,
deadline imposed by the USDA Rural Development. It is therefore
advantageous that approval is granted and the matter placed onto
the Council agenda for review at its May 2, 2001, meeting.

RE: Resolution No. 75-01 Authorizing the Mayor to Execute and Submit a
Pre-Application for Community Facility Disaster Assistance Funds.
Pursuant to Section 1(g) of Rule ~ of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County of
Hawaii, this written request is submitted with my approval that the above-referenced matter be
waived from the Committee on Finance to the full Council for immediate action. In reviewing
this matter, timely approval is crucial. It is therefore advantageous that approval is granted and
the matter placed onto the next Council agenda for review. However, in the event this request is
denied, for whatever reason, I understand the matter shall be referred to the Committee on
Finance for placement on its future agenda.
