Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
I regret to inform you that Mr. David Powell, Mayor Kim's nominee for the Hawaii
County Tax Board of Review, will not be able to attend the Finance Committee
confirmation hearing on May 1, 2001.
Mr. Powell has informed me that he will be on the mainland undergoing surgery.
He is expected to return to Hawaii on May 10, 2001, and indicates that he will be
available to appear before the full Council on May 16, 2001.
