COUI~'I'~' OF I~~~'I`~ S~A.~°~ OF I-IAWAI`I <br /> SOI~iTTI®1~11~10. ~ <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL YEAR <br /> AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR AMULTI-YEAR LEASE FOR A COPY <br /> MACHINE. <br /> WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or <br /> other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or more <br /> <br /> than one fiscal year to be approved by resolution; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County wishes to enter into afive-year lease contract to acquire a copy <br /> machine for the Elections Division to be located in the Elections Division Office; and <br /> WHEREAS, the existing copy machine has been subjected to very heavy use in the last <br /> six years; and <br /> WHEREAS, the quality of the reproduction is substandard and cost for parts and supplies <br /> has increased, and the machine continues to require frequent maintenance. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF <br /> HAWAII: <br /> 1. That the Mayor is authorized to enter into afive-year lease for the acquisition of a <br /> copy machine to be utilized in the Elections Division; and <br /> 2. T',•~at sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated <br /> obligation of the County under the lease agreement. <br /> _ <br /> <br />
