Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
The Amended 2001-2002 Capital Budget and Program consisting of 45 projects with a total cost of $46,786,000 is submitted for your
review and approval. The County's share of the costs is $39,036,000. $7,750,000 will be funded from the State Revolving Fund.
Included in this Amended Budget are previously appropriated projects whose funds will lapse on June 30, 2001 and will need to be re-
appropriated; these projects total $10,923,000.
We have included in this submittal, a proposed Draft 2, Bill No. 39. Please note that we have added 9 projects to Bill No. 39, the list
originally submitted to you on March 1, 2001. These 9 added projects are also shown on the enclosed amended Summary of
Departmental Requests from the Deparkment of Public Works, Engineering Division. The Project Data and Financial Impact
Statement for these additional projects have been included in this transmittal.
Again, we ask for your favorable consideration and look to continuing our efforts to benefit the County of Hawaii.
