To recap and quote you, here is your written description of your Request to Access a Government Record (see enclosed copy of your Request to Access a Government Record as submitted to us): " (1) One VHS video re: RE: Comm 138.24. Presented at HI Co. Council Meeting. March 21, 2001 relative to Bill #194. Original documents attached. Also, several other VHS video tape testimonies to be converted into a DVD or some other non -obsolete format. Lastly, I'd like copies of the same paperwork for the other tapes." In researching your request, I located two (2) VHS tapes submitted by yourself related to Communication 138.24 and Communication 102.18, Council term 2000-2002. We have determined that we have sufficient record of these video-taped testimonies and have also determined that retention of these VHS tapes by our office is no longer necessary. We would like to return these original VHS tapes to you, at this time, in lieu of reproducing these tapes in fulfillment of your Request for Access to Records (reference: Communication Nos. 102.18 and 138.24, 2000-2002 Council term, along its accompanying documentation, if any). Please drop by the Office of the County Clerk, 25 Aupuni Street, Room 1402, in Hilo, to pick up your VHS tapes. Our business hours are Monday -Friday, 7:45 am — 4:30 pm, except holidays and furlough days. Please identify yourself at the front counter and let the staff member attending know that you have a package to pick up. As these tapes originally belonged to you, we will return it to and there are no fees that need to be collected. Sinc ly, /oyyn Legislative Information and Reference Technician UPDATE: On September 9, 2013, Mr. McNett had arranged to come in with his own duplication equipment in order to make a duplicate of the VHS tape onto a DVD disk which he supplied. He was first assisted by Joycelyn Iyo and then by Donna Goodenow when Ms. Iyo had to go to lunch. Upon her return from lunch, Ms. Iyo saw that Mr. McNett was gone along with his equipment and that he had taken the VHS tapes with him (later confirmed during a phone call mid-afternoon with Mr. McNett).
