Draft 2, in Ramseyer format, reflects a proposed 10% across-the-board increase for the Hawaii County Band and the West Hawaii County Band pay schedule and the inclusion of the Student Helper I & II class of work for the Department of Environmental Management. At the May 15th Finance Committee meeting, it was questioned as to what was the effective date of the State's minimum wage increase that affects the Student Helper/Intern pay rate. The proposed date of this increase is January 1, 2002. We will, therefore, submit a resolution at a later date to amend the pay rates of the Student Helper I & II, Student Intern, and Senior Community Services Aid classes in the Salary Ordinance.
