NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that incompliance with Chapter 19, Article 1 1, Section 19-90(bj
of the Hawaii County Code, as amended, the County Council of the County of Hawaii will be
holding a meeting on the following date, time and place for the purpose of fixing the real
property tax rates for the Fiscal Year July 1, 2001 to June 30, 2002:
DATE: June 6, 2001
TIME: 9:00 a.m.
PLACE: Councilroom, Hawaii County Building
25 Aupuni Street, Room 201
Hilo, Hawaii
The real property tax rates for the Fiscal Year July 1, 2001 to June 30, 2002, shall be fixed as
follows:
Classes of Property Building Land
Per $1,000 Net Valuations (Per $1,000 Net Valuation)
Im roved Residential $8.50 $8.50
Unim roved Residential 8.50 10.00
Apartment 8.50 10.00
Hotel/Resort 8.50 10.00
Commercial 8.50 10.00
Industrial 8.50 10.00
Agricultural or Native Forest 8.50 10.00
Conservation 8.50 l 0.00
Homeowner 4.45 4.45
These rates would be fixed by the County Council upon it's adoption of Resolution No. 84-01. II~
the Council does not act upon Resolution No. 84-01 on or before June 20, 2001, the tax rates as
previously set shall be applicable to Fiscal Year 2001-2002.
All interested persons are invited to attend and they shall be afforded an opportunity to be heard.
Those desiring to address the County Council should register prior to the convening of the
meeting. Those unable to attend may submit their written comments on the subject to the
Hawaii County Council, 25, Aupuni Street, Hilo, Hawaii 96720.
The meeting place is accessible for persons with physical disabilities. Persons who need special
accommodations to attend this meeting should call 961-8255. Persons using TDDs may
call 961-8521.
