SUBJECT: TRAFFIC CODE AMENDMENT
SARONA ROAD
Convert existing bus stop to freight loading zone
The Kona Traffic Safety Committee requests the existing bus stop along Sarona Road be
converted to afreight-loading zone. The bus stop is no longer in use and the area is used for
loading activities.
We ask for your review and consideration for adoption of the subject amendment as described in
the attached draft for an ordinance. Should you have any questions, please contact Richard
Nishimura, Traffic Division Chief, at 961-8341.
A location map and the request from the Kona Traffic Safety Committee are attached.

dear Richard,
The bona Traffic Safety Committee is in full support of changing the bus stop on Barone Road
to afreight-loading zone.
The corrimittee realizes that the bus stop is no longer in use but there is a named for a ten~porar}=
loading zone for delivery of goods to local revilers, and therefore support this change.
