No. 61-01 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> <br /> TIME: 10:30 A.M. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 61-01, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 61-01, transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, via Communication <br /> <br /> No. 145, dated February 23, 2001, authorizes the payment of funds of a later fiscal year or of <br /> more than one fiscal year for amulti-year lease of Real Property. <br /> The Department of Parks and Recreation, Elderly Activities Division wishes to extend its lease <br /> of office space located at 85-951 Haleki`i Street, Kealakekua, Hawaii. Funds will be budgeted <br /> in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated cost. <br /> Pursuant to Section 10-11, Hawaii County Charter, any contract, lease or other obligation <br /> requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year must be approved by <br /> resolution. <br /> Some members of Your Committee were concerned with sections within the rental agreement <br /> that related to month-to-month terms, common area maintenance and real property tax. <br /> A motion to approve was made and seconded, followed by a vote by the seven members in <br /> attendance.
