Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 71-01, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 71-01, transmitted by Director of Finance William T. Takaba, via
Communication No. 182, dated April 4, 2001, authorizes the acceptance of a donation from
Ms. Jessica Osborn.
Ms. Jessica Osborn has graciously donated a Vitamaster Premier PRG programmable treadmill
to the Department of Parks & Recreation's Papa`aloa Gym weight room. The value of this
donation is estimated at $700.00.
Pursuant to Article XIII, Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter, the Council, on behalf of the
County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property.
A letter of appreciation will be sent to Ms. Jessica Osborn, P.O. Box 374, Laupahoehoe, Hawaii
96764, acknowledging this generous donation.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 71-01
and recommends its adoption.
