Resolution No 21-01, transmitted by Council Member Nancy Pisicchio, via Communication
No. 54, dated January 10, 2001, transfers funds as follows:

These funds are being transferred to perform an independent evaluation of the animal control
program of the County of Hawaii, to include a technical performance review of the services,
shelter operations and administration of the County's present contractor, the Hawaii Island
Humane Society.
Originally heard on January 23, 2001, this measure was deferred pending revisions to encompass
a comprehensive evaluation of the County of Hawaii `s animal control program, not simply on
performance evaluation of the current contractor, the Hawaii Island Humane Society.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 21-01
and recommends its adoption.
