I~EPOItT OF THE COMMITTEE ON HUMAN SERVICES AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DATE: March 19, 2001 Re: Communication No. 136/Resolution No. 60-01 PLACE: Council Chambers TIME: 10:07 a.m. Council Chair and Members Hawaii County Council Hilo, Hawaii 96720 Your Committee on Human Services and Economic Development, to which was referred Resolution No. 60-01, reports as follows: Resolution No. 60-01, transmitted by Finance Director William T. Takaba via Communication No. 136, dated February 20, 2001, proposed the transfer of appropriated funds from designated fund account 010-471-5471-64 in the amount of $20,833.24 and credit of same to fund account 010-471-5472-15 for the purpose of funding the Smart Moves Program for the duration of fiscal year 2000-01. In compliance with the provisions of Chapter 2, Article 25 of the Hawaii County Code, this transfer of funds was recommended upon receipt by the Department of Finance of an application submitted by the Boys and Girls Club of Hawaii, a qualifying nonprofit organization, to administer the Smart Moves Program until June 30, 2001. The application was received in response to a Request for Proposals issued by the Department of Finance for provision of this youth program following the dissolution of the board of directors of the Boys and Girls of Hilo. Upon adoption, the resolution will be transmitted to the Director of Finance to execute the authorized transfer of funds in accordance with the terms of Resolution 60-O1.
