RESOLUTION e4l1THORIZING T~fE ~lCCEP'Ti4NC~ OF ~4 CON~aTION OF X50 FOR
THE ~ANA`EWA F~4INFOREST ZOO
WHEREAS, the Kamehameha Schools' Hamakua preschool facility in Pa`auilo has donated
$50 to be used for programs at the Pana`ewa Rainforest Zoo; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the
Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property; and
WFIEREAS, the Department of Parks & Recreation recommends the acceptance of this
donation.
NOW, fiHEREFORE, ~E IT RESOLVED ~Y THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII
that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, the Council of the
County of Hawaii accepts the $50.
EE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation be sent to Ms. Rosanna
Matsuyama, Kamehameha Schools, P.O. Box 362, Pa'auilo, Hawaii 96776, acknowledging this
generous donation.
