RESOLUTION CHANGING TIME ELEIIAENI` OI° ACLERK-STENOGRAPHER 1/2T TO 3/4T
WHEREAS, Position no. 3239, Clerk-Stenographer1/2T, SR-09 of the Office of the
Prosecuting Attorney has been given additional hours since January 1998, in order to process an
increased volume of work generated by the Federal Violence Against Children (VAC); and
WHEREAS, funding for VAC will end on July 31, 2001 but another federal funding source,
Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) will continue to maintain the same number of counselors and their
heavy workload; and
WHEREAS, future VOCA funding appears to be stable and assures continuity of the VAC
counselor as a VOCA counselor; and
WHEREAS, by increasing the time element of this position from 1/2-time to 3/4-time, the
present level of work will be properly maintained; and
WHEREAS, that there are sufficient funds available in the Prosecuting Attorneys' Victims of
Crime Act Regular Salaries and Wages account (010-271-5271.56-011).
NOW, THEREFORE, ~E IT RESOLVED EY THE COUNCIL OE THE COUNTY OF HAWAII
that Position No. 3239, Clerk-Stenographer 1/2T, SR-09, be changed to 3/4T.
BE IT EURTFIER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be transmitted to the Office of the
Prosecuting Attorney and to the Departments of Finance and Civil Service.
