Re: Capital Budget
Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance to appropriate $300,000 of federal funds for the Inoino
Gulch Bridge Replacement project. This project proposes to replace an existing wooden
bridge that is structurally and functionally deficient with a new concrete bridge that meets
current standards. The County's portion for this project has already been allotted.
If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the Department of Public Works.

A. REQUEST:
Request appropriations amending Ordinance 00-69 to add Inoino Gulch
Bridge Replacement in the amount of $300,000. This is the portion of the
Federal share for this project and will be entirely reimbursable. The
County share for the project has been allotted.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
The project proposes to replace an existing wooden bridge that is
structurally and functionally deficient with a new concrete bridge that
meets current standards.
This represents additional Federal funds necessary for the project.
The plans have already been bid and the contract is ready for execution.
Additional funds are needed to hire a construction management firm.
Also, the bid price was higher than originally estimated.
