Re: Hawaii Island Humane Society
Pursuant to Section 8, Ordinance 01-55, the Operating Budget for the County of
Hawaii for the Fiscal Year July 1, 2001 to June 30, 2002; the Hawaii Island
Humane Society has submitted a written statement saying that pig hunters and
bird hunters who seek to adopt dogs from them will be allowed to adopt any dog
available for adoption, provided they meet all other adoption qualifications and
requirements. Payment to the contractor has been authorized and will
commence in July.

Pig hunters and bird hunters who seek to adopt dogs from the Hawaii Island
