PRESENTATION BY SANDWICH ISLES COMMUNICATIONS, INC. (SIC),
REGARDING THEIR COMPANY AND THEIR PROJECT TO BUILD A MODERN,
NEXT GENERATION, HIGH-SPEED, BROADBAND, FIBER OPTIC CABLE
TELECOMMUNICATIONS NETWORK FOR HAWAIIAN HOME LANDS (HHL).
REFERRAL:
Comm. 170: SANDWICH ISLES COMMUNICATIONS, INC.'S (SIC),
REQUEST TO MAKE PRESENTATION
From Gil Tam, Administration & Community Affairs, SIC, Inc.,
dated March 28, 2001, stating they are building a modern, next
generation, high-speed, broadband, fiber optic cable
telecommunications network for HHL, which will connect all 69
non-contiguous HHL parcels statewide with undersea and an all-
underground fiber optic cable infrastructure (the largest construction
expenditure will be realized in Hawaii County).
Requests time to brief the HS&EDC on their company and on the
overall project.
