Takaba, Director of Finance, dated February 15, 2001, transmitting applications from qualifying organizations and a list showing amounts requested for review and appropriation of funds for FY 2001-02. Also reflected on the list is an organization which did not submit their application before the January 31, 2001 deadline. (Continued on next pale) HS&EDC-8 Page 2 April 17, 2001 Comm. 122.50: From Mary Navor, Fiscal Officer, Turning Point for Families, Inc., dated March 23, 2001, responding to two questions raised at the HS&EDC meeting held in Kona on March 22, 2001, regarding the Shelter's administrative staffing and decrease in positions. Comm. 122.51: From Mary Hyslop, Executive Director, Big Island AIDS Project, dated March 20, 2001, responding to a question raised at the HS&EDC meeting held in Hilo on March 19, 2001, regarding information on the Foundation's line item of their proposed income budget sheet. Comm. 122.52: From Cami Post, Administrator, Brantley Center, Inc., dated March 22, 2001, as requested at the HS&EDC meeting held in Hilo on March 19, 2001, transmits the Center's revised budget Table #6 (Summary of Income). Comm. l 22.53: From Lee Lord, Executive Director, Turning Point for Families, Inc., dated March 30, 2001, adding further clarification to the response from their Fiscal Officer, Mary Navor (COMM. 122.50 attached) regarding their proposed salary increases. Comm. 122.54: From Sheryl Livingston, Area Director, Special Olympics West Hawai` i, responding to a question raised at the HS&EDC meeting held in Kona on March 22, 2001, about requesting funds for Special Olympics West Hawaii through the Felix decree. States Special Olympics would not fall under the category of services included in the Felix decree because not all special education students are covered by the decree. The Felix decree covers only those special education and regular education students who receive mental health services such as counseling or psychological services. Not all special education students require mental health services. Comm. 122.55: From Robin Lee, East Hawaii Branch Director, Goodwill Industries Hawaii, dated April 3, 2001, providing additional budget information, as requested. Also attached is a spreadsheet and an accompanying pie chart reflecting a breakdown of requested grant monies for each applicant agency, as requested by Councilmember Leningrad Elarionoff.
