Dear Council Chaiun~an Azalcaki;
On Friday June 15~' Y met with yourself, Karen I-Iarita, and Andy Levin to discuss issues associated
with the recently ilrtr+odriced Caribbean tree frogs on the Tsland of Hawaii. At the time of our pnceting
you suggested that I give a presentation to County Council members sag the introduced tree
frog issue during a regularly scheduled acting on the 5~ of July. You had also suggested that T send
you a letter concerning this proposed presentation T~zior to the meeting. I would be happy to give a 1 S
- 30 minute talk on the tree frog issue on the 5 of July. If this dnbe is not practical ~ would be
interested in addressing County Council members at a later time. I have been on (Juam worlKiug on
brown treesnake issues since we met and will be back in Hilo/Voleano on the evening of 29 July
2001. Y can be contacted via phone at my office in Hilo early next week and will be chxldng
messages left on my answering machine at work this weekend.
Thank you for your interest in the tree frog issue.
Sincerely,
~~A _
