Dear Chairman Arakaki:
Subject: Bill No. 62 (Post Harvest Treatment Facility)
The Hawaii Electric Light company supports the passage of Bill No. 62 (Post
Harvest Treatment Facility).
Passage of this bill will facilitate the implementation of a safe technology that
supports further development of our agricultural industry.
I understand that the technology proposed is a reliable and proven process used
in worldwide applications. The proposed facility will also reduce the cost of Big Island
agriculture products and be cost competitive in the market place.
In addition to enhancing the economic recovery on the Big Island, it will improve
the quality of life for the community.
Again, passage of Bill No. 62 is supported.
Sincerely,
Warren H. W. Lee
